Velbon Tripods

Ok, so I was trying to narrow down which tripod I wanted and I was looking at a couple different tripods by Velbon and I decided to price them out when lo and behold, I couldn't find anywhere to buy them!! According to their website there's not really a place in the U.S. to buy them so I was wondering if anyone knew of where to go to get these. Right now the only place I can find is Amazon, but I didn't find much there. If there's not anywhere in the U.S. can someone recommend another good brand for around $100 or less? TIA!!!

I have a Velbon carbon fiber monopod which I like a lot. I purchased it at Camera Wholesalers in Connecticut. Their web site is http://www.camerawholesalers.com/. They should be able to help you although I would not recommend purchasing it from them because they really don't discount much.

I know I saw Velbon Tripods at my local Frys the other day, although it might have been their lower end stuff.

Check their website if you dont have a store in your area.

EDIT...

A buddy just recommended this one(under $100), he has some nice work and uses it. Says it is a bit on the heavy side, but much more stable than all the other sub $100 tripods he looked at.

Did you check eBay? You might be able to find someone selling new ones there, too... that's where I bought mine (to avoid paying tax as I have to do when I buy from Adorama or B&H.)
