Veggie Burgers

Can you request a veggie burger at any Disney restaurant that serves regular burgers or do they have to be on the menu?

1) Most offer the Gardenburger Black Bean veggie burger.
. . . they used to have a proprietary veggie burger, but no longer
. . . they are a "request" item and usually not on the menu *
. . . you can order them loaded or plain
. . . plus, the fixin's bar gives more add-ons
2) But, not all eateries have them available.
3) Many places have gone to the Veggie Sandwich.
4) This way, they can serve it as a platter or a sandwich.
5) But, no veggie burgers in AK, as they are now all veggie sandwiches.

* They are on the menu at Sassagoula Floatworks (POFQ food court)
and Plaza Restaurant in MK.)

The only places I've ever been able to order them are ones where they're on the menu.

We had them at Sassagoula yesterday, and they are not on the menu there. They had the Malibu type which is tasty but has big chunks of visible veggies in it, which does not work for my son lol. DH and I liked them though!

1) You need to ask if you don't see them.
2) Example: Electric Umbrella has them - if requested.

Electric Umbrella is actually one of the places I have asked and been told no.

It seems very odd that you would think the statement, "The only places I've ever been able to order them are ones where they're on the menu" was based on never asking at places where they're not on the menu.

If I had said, "The only places I've TRIED to order them are places where they're on the menu," your response might have been relevant. But the phrase "I haven't been able to... " generally doesn't mean, "I never attempted to... "

We had them at Sassagoula yesterday, and they are not on the menu there.

I can attest that they WERE on the menu as recently as summer 2011.
