Veggie burgers at DCA

Has anyone found veggie burgers in DCA?

The only places to get burgers of any kind in DCA are Taste Pilots and Burger Invasion. Unless something has changed recently, I don't think either has them. Burger Invasion is basically a really expensive McDonalds with a limited menu. Taste Pilots is pretty good, but I don't think they have veggie burgers. If you head into the GC and go to Whitewater Snacks, they might have them (and if they do, they'll be a lot better than anything in the parks).

Don't know about DCA, but I got one at Pinocchio's Village Haus last weekend. Honestly it was pretty nasty.

I'm curious about this too.... this is my first time at Disneyland as a vegetarian. I remember having a burger a couple years ago at Pinocchio's and it wasn't really good.

I'm sure theres stuff out there for us vegetarians.

There is...the only veggie burgers I know of are at RFC...but throughout the parks they have veggie pastas and salads and stuff

Just because we are vegetartians, doesn't mean we had our unhealthy gene removed, sometimes a veggie burger is just the ticket! Though I have to agree good ones are few and far between our local McDs was doing a quorn burger until recently, I walked out when I realised they don't do veggie and there milkshake machine was broken again (for dd) the other day.

most of these places make the veggie burger on the same grill as the 'real' burger...
so if you're really a vegetarian, you wouldn't want to eat it...
bring your own food if you really care....

omg I know...and arent they the hugest ones ever??? I ate there twice this past week and saw them put the veggie skewers on ...they had HUGE chunks of zucchini, squash...whole small red onions, squash and cherry tomatoes...

Umm. Sure. You do what works for you and I'll do what works for me and they will do what works for them. Me? I don't care if the veggie patty is cooked on the same grill. And it's not worth the hassle assuring that every place I eat at keeps the meat cook area seperate from the veggie cook area. I'm still a vegetarian, and as vegetarians know, there are different degrees and types of vegetarianisim.

No veggie patties but the mozerella sticks are yummy. Mimis Cafe across the street has a decent veggie burger. And their food is 10x better than anything you'll get on property.

Thanks for that Watchincaptainkangaroo, love getting tips, not too sure why but I dont fancy the mozarella sticks, but Mimis has been mentioned so often will have to check them out

I like to eat at Redd Rockets in Tomorrowland. They have great salads, pastas, and I even like their pizza. If you do dairy, it's great! You can have them make the chicken salads and pastas without the chicken and they have a really good tomato/basil pasta sauce.

Also, I just found out, a few nights ago, that the French Market (New Orleans Square) has a pasta marinara that is not on the menu. It was pretty good.......Plus, under the infamous Fantasmic dessert balcony, there is a walk up that OK veggie "gumbo".

And, yes, you would think it would more veggie friendly here in CA. I'm puzzled. We went to the U.K. and Paris (including DLP) last year and it was sooooooo easy to eat veggie. One English cafe owner told us there something like 6 million vegetarians in the U.K. Every place we went, including a pub in a dinky Welsh town (they hadn't seen an American is over 2 years), had awesome vegetarian menus!

I love veggie burgers and the ones at RFC were nasty - it was kind of mushy.

Maybe on the way I will pick up some "grillers" for the fridge and heat them up on the coffee pot "grill"


By the way, has any one tried the "Chicken Parmagian" from Morningstar farms? It really was pretty tasty!

the point is people should be aware .....(as in the fast food place that was sued by a customer who didn't realize the veggie nuggets were fried in some sort of meat based fat....)
there are some states where cooking a veggie burger on a meat grill and calling it vegetarian is against the law (where the food regulations are particularly strict and are enforced by the authorities).....and in some states it's not....
so the buyer should beware....

Thanks Lisa for the tips, I am not actually a vegetarian as I do eat the occassional piece of fish but I prefer veggie food, so things aren't quite so tricky for me. I don't think anywhere in the UK would even try not putting veggie food on their menu from Burger King to high class restaurants.

Loved your tip by the way, re your chicken salad thing, do you mean you can exchange cheese for chicken?

There is a really good salad at the French Market in New Orleans Square with shrimp. There is bacon on it so you'd have to ask for no bacon.

Hi Joanne!
Regarding the chicken salads: They have a Chicken Caesar and Chinese Chicken Salad but the chicken is sliced breast that they add to the salad
(same for the pastas), so you can just ask them to leave it off. I LOVE the Chinese one!

Would just salad fill you up? If I had the apetite of a bird it would be an albatros not a sparrow!
