Veggie Burger at DCA?

I know that they have some vegan dishes like the portabello in BB, but you are going to have to double check everything. You probably will have to ask for special foods, or yup dry salads.

And sadly, I've found that the places I've dined at don't like doing things for special diets. At the BB they gave us a hard time to have a meatless salad for the veggie dish!

Did you want it as the meal?? If you just wanted the meat off the side salad I think that is so weird that they gave you an issue. I have been many times and never had a single issue with it. I hate when you get a bad CM :(

Yea, the server we had was definitely off. I know a lot of restaurants really don't like catering to vegetarians. But wow, I couldn't believe she gave us a hard time about that. I am gathering that all of the salads are probably pre-made sitting on a shelf in a fridge somewhere and it was hard for them to take the meat off?

But no, we couldn't find veggie burgers in DCA

Yeah I hear ya, I dont eat all that much meat, so I head to Red rockets and grab a salad or go to the Bengal BBQ and get the veggie skewers. But there really isnt much option.

Does anyone know if the veggie skewers are grilled with meat? Next to meat? Touching it? Same grill with burnt meat on it?

I'm assuming that I'll be out of luck on that one since I am quite picky.

And trying to go Vegan as well, cutting back now but I know it will be really difficult on the trip. I've been dieting and can't wait to get to DL to have cake, cookies, ice cream, etc...

I'm sure it is grilled on the same grills, and is no doubt prepared next to the meat as well.

I wouldn't assume anything of the sort, I would expect (based on my experience):
  • All restaurants to have some form of vegetarin options (those that have Priority Seating willl probably require advance notice of 24-48 hours if it's no onthier menu)
  • The vegetarian options to be treated the same as allergies where thhey are prepared and cooked seperately from the meat options

That is true that every restaurant has a veggie option. We just wish there were more veggie options. Heck, I wish there was more variety in the meat options at Disney.
