I've only been to DCA once, and we've never eaten there. we're going to be there tonight for dinner, and wondered if they had veggie burgers anywhere... I've tried looking on allears and didn't see any, but was wondering if Taste Pilots or anything will make on request?

Good question! I don't even see anything about it on dlresort info.

If no one replies, please be sure to report back, yes?

(am now thinking of the veggie chili and the caprese sandwich in DCA, yum.....)

I think if theres no veggie burger we might go get the veggie chili!

I've never ordered it myself, but I did hear others order veggie burgers at Taste Pilot's. :)

yea I looked through all that and didn't see any, which was why I asked if they would special order it or something and it just wasted listed on any of the menus? If that makes sense.

We get pretty frustrated with the lack of veggie options at Disneyland. But then when you think about it, they don't have a lot of varience in their offered foods...?

Yeah I hear ya, I dont eat all that much meat, so I head to Red rockets and grab a salad or go to the Bengal BBQ and get the veggie skewers. But there really isnt much option.

The ones in DL are fantastic. Hungry Bear and also at the Pinocchio place. We decided not to go tonight, but we are going tomorrow. We just want to spend a night exclusively at DCA without going over to Disneyland.

I find I have lots of good veggie options in the parks

Some of the options I tend to aim towards

DL-
Nice veggie sandwich at the place on Main Street
Veggie Gumbo in NOS places
Mushrooms or ask about pasta at BB
Veggie kabobs at Bengal
Veggie Burritos, Tacos or the grilled veggie tostada (HUGE so share) at Rancho
Pizza, Pasta and Salads at Pizza Port

DCA- (I haven't really done CS here)
Vineyard Room worked with me, and had menu options
Caprese Sandwich at WCT

This doesn't count DTD. Some times it is so tough to be veggie but I have to say I have done pretty well at DLR and honestly I have never eaten a veggie burger there ever.

I was a vegetarian for 10 years, but recently started eating meat again. I don't eat very much and usually go for the veggie option if available. I have had the veggie burger at HB, and personally, thought it was just okay (definitely add cheese to it). I have done pizza at Oom Mow Mow, and found some good veggie selections in DTD. I often will bring a protein bar to eat and then pick up a salad or french fries to eat with it when we stop to eat. DH and kids all eat meat and they have no problem finding food to eat.

I have also found that almost any Disney restaurant that serves burgers have veggie burgers, but you have to request it. It will not show up on the menu.

weird, maybe it was an off time. Did you have cheese on it? I've heard they can taste... dry and weird without it? I usually just eat a regular one since it's only the wife that is a veggie gal.

Are the veggie burgers the frozen Gardenburger type or more of a fresh homemade kind?

Thanks to all for the veggie tips. We will be making our first trip to DLR this summer, and this will be very helpful!

I have heard they are more like the BOCA / Soy based but that they are made especially for Disneyland.

My new obsticle is that my 15yo DD has gone from being vegetarian (eating milk & eggs) to a vegan (no animal products AT ALL). I told her she just might have to comprimise when we go in December. Otherwise she will be eating alot of dry salads.

My wife started as vegan and because of the lack of options went to vegetarian. At Disneyland, I really doubt anything is vegan- like you said, a LOT of dry salads.

I know that they have some vegan dishes like the portabello in BB, but you are going to have to double check everything. You probably will have to ask for special foods, or yup dry salads.
