i love disney but one problem i seem to have a lot is finding a place to eat with good vegetarian options. can anyone suggest someplace good? i almost always end up with the same options everywhere i go and thats grilled cheese or pizza from the kids menu.. im almost 20 and its getting kind of old.

Ok I just came here to ask the same question! can I add one thing though.. I want to take my kids to a dinner show.. but they seam like they would "meat" style dinners.. BBQ or Aloha.. can anyone tell me if there are vegetarian options that are actually worth the money?? I don;t want to pay for the steak or seafood and only get to eat rice and salad! LOL

OK so Im semi veggie (usually go for veggie meals as not a big meat lover but will eat chicken if pushed). Here's a few good places.

Columbia harbour house is fantastic for a counter service. They do a roast vegetable sandwich with vegetable chilli.

The Rose & Crown in Epcot - now the veggie option I like (its a curried vegetable thing or was but not very spicy) but on their lunch menu I have ordered the Ploughmans salad without the meat which was really nice (blue cheese dressing was amasing). Also the Mushroom medley & cheese plate appertisers are fantastic.

Marrakesh in Epcot - they do a really nice vegetable couscous. It has lots of flavour and the service in there is excellent. Also if you go for lunch at around 1pm I think the belly dancer does a show.

California Grill - didn't like the veggie options here but then Im fussy and didn't like anything here.

Brown Derby - best veggie meal by far. The Noddle bowl with coconut crusted tofu is amasing! I'm not a big fan of tofu but this is so nice.

Ragland Road - mushroom rissotto! Really good and filling.

Now as for veggie dinner show meals.

Spirit of Aloha - I know this does more items than most dinner shows and does do vegetable rice, salad etc but I don't think it has a specific vegetarian menu

BBQ - when I went the veggie option was basically corn! This was the worst value meal for me I've ever had as there was very little I could eat.

I know its not really a dinner show:

Ohana - again you get basically the accompliments as I don't think there is a veggie option

Whispering canyon - here they do kind of a show getting the kids involved and have vegetable enchilladas which are really nice.

Anyway hope this helps

The risotto is off the menu at Raglan Road. :headache: Too bad, too, as it was delicious. At 'Ohana there's a tofu noodle dish you can order.

One of my favorite restaurants is Boma; lots of veggie options. As for dinner shows, Mickey's BBQ is probably the worst choice, from what I'm told. Check with other places and ask what they can make for you.

Some of the better veggie options that we had on our trip were at:

Columbia Harbor House- they have an amazing veggie chili and veggie sandwich.

Boma- a great place with a LOT of veggie options.

I echo Rose and Crown's veggie curry, and Le Cellier's squash ravioli was also very very good.

Cosmic Ray's has a veggie burger- other places may have it as well.

although I am not the OP I wanted t thank you all for such helpful answers! I took notes of each one.. We have reservations for Boma so I was very excited to hear it has some good options :)

I am not a veggie, but I don't eat meat that does not come from our farm (so that I know teh animals were treated humanely.)

BOMA is tremendous for vegetarians! You will not be disappointed in quality or variety of options!
The food court in The Land in Epcot has outstanding choices
Kona Cafe in the Poly for lunch or dinner
Starring Rolls at MGM
Marrakesh (sp?) in Epcot
Columbia Harbor House is great
Japan's counter service in Epcot. Vegetable tempura with udon noodles (hmmm..wait, those might be in a beef stock)

You'll have many nice options! Enjoy your trip!

I love the veggie plate at Tangerine Cafe. I'm not a vegetarian, but when I get there I turn into one so I can justify ordering the veggie plate.:)

I'm vegetarian and I found FAR more options at WDW restaurants than at restaurants outside the world. Virtually every place has at least one (good) veggie option ON the menu. If that doesn't float your boat, they're almost always willing to customize for you. One of the reasons I LOVE WDW is that, as a vegetarian, I DON'T feel like an outsider. I feel included and catered to.

My faves from last trip:

Cali Grill
Tangierine Cafe (YUM!)
Artist Point (Veg wonton entree was unusual and delish!)

Places I'm trying in 1/08:

Columbia Harbour House
Flying Fish
Chefs de France
Le Cellier
Akershus
Brown Derby
