I was reading some threads about Tusker House being turned into TS with the refurb beginning in August (I believe before Yak and Yeti opens). So I think that only leaves some pretty mediocre veggie options--pizza at pizzafari :scratchin, veggie burger at McDonalds :scared:, and a fruit plate at Flame Tree  (does someone really think that fruit and yogurt lunch?). Did I miss anything?

Which of these, if any, will you be eating at?

I've eaten at pizzafari before and it was fine, but nothing exciting. I've not had good luck with veggie burgers at fast food places before so I don't know about McDonalds. I know lots of people said the vegetarian sandwich at Tusker House wasn't that good (I haven't tried it) but at least it was something.

As a vegetarian, I was disappointed to see Tusker House will be closed when I'm there on May 31st. Since my mom loves Flametree BBQ, I'm going to join her and have corn-on-the cob and whatever other side dishes appeal. Last year, my vegetarian niece and I enjoyed our lunch (sans reservations) at Rainforest Cafe. Since I made 8pm dinner reservations for the 31st, I'll just make do for lunch and feast that night. That means I'm not likely to make it to Mannequins that night (I'll be sleeping off the food).

Eating animals at Animal Kingdom. Something not quite right.
What a cute goat. Can I pet him? What does he eat? How does he taste?
Not right at all.
Next time, put a good vegetarian option in place before refurbishing one.

Last time I was there I ate at Tusker House so my parents could get the salmon. I got the veggie pita which was sub par. The bread was soggy from the dressing, so I am thinking it had been made a few hours ago. This time around, I really don't have plans to eat CS at AK. If I have to I guess I am trying Pizzafari.

We loved the Tusker House restaurant. With it closing, we will probably start going to Rainforest. We like that place too, but usually went to the one at Downtown Disney when we visited there. So we may move to the Earl of Sandwich at DTD because I have read they have some good options, but we haven't tried it.

The Rainsforest has a good veggie burger. We don't like the veggie burgers at the regular Disney places (I think they are Boco burgers and we like the Gardenburgers better).
