Vegetarian options

Hi all. A girl that I work with and I are planning a trip for next fall. She's a vegetarian. I'm a carnivore. Where can we eat that will meet both of our needs? I've been there 5 times before but I've never been looking for meat free options. What to do?

If you haven't already done so, you can peruse the"vegan/vegetarian...." sticky thread on the restaurant forum.

You can also have her check out menus. I don't eat meat at restaurants, so I am always checking ahead. Most WDW TS restaurants have at least one meat free entree or are prepared to make a vegetarian meal when asked. Your friend's food criteria obviously will make a difference (vegan vs vegetarian, how strictly, etc)

We aren't vegetarians, but I'd suggest looking at at the Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants as even as carnivores we have loved some of their vegetarian options. Sanaa would probably be my first choice, but Jiko and Boma also have great options.

Boma! Also, for BOG dinner which is now prix fixe the French Onion soup is vegetarian but it is so good you might want it as well and one of the entree choices is vegetarian and there would be meat for yo

My daughter had the vegetarian meal at California Grill Brunch. I kinda cringed when she ordered it. I thought she would end up wasting it. She was on a "I'm on vacation and going to try new things" kick, but she said it was amazing.

We all tried and thought it was good too.

Just had a meal last week at Skipper Canteen and loved it! I had the curried vegetable stew and it was so flavorful and filling - highly recommend. They also have a steak dish, a steak salad, chicken and pork dishes. Something for everyone :)

I agree with Boma - I am the vegetarian in a family of carnivores. Boma has never let me (us) down. Also, a lot of places, I piece together a meal with appetizers - a salad, a flatbread, etc.

Our family has 2 carnivores, 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan. We eat at almost any restaurant on property. Most have something on the menu for veg lovers, and if they don't the chefs will make something for you. Most are happy to do so, we've only had a few so so interactions over the years.
Here's the list of restaurants we go to with no trouble for everyone to eat at.
Skippers Canteen, Be Our Guest
Tiffins, Tusker House
50s Primetime, Sci Fi Diner, Brown Derby
Biergarten, Marrakesh, Chefs De France, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Garden Grill
Ale & Compass, Flying Fish, Kona, The Wave, Whispering Canyon, Boma, Sanaa

We've eaten at others too, but these are our most recent places with much success.

Honestly, no worries about this... I promise you both of you will be fed well.
