Has anyone ever had the vegertarian option at the Hoop De Doo? If so, what is on the menu? Thanks in advance for any info.

You have an option of a steamed veggie platter or pasta with red sauce. Pretty lack luster actually but always a fun time.

Thanks curiouser. Have a great time at the marathon.

Anyone have more recent info on this subject? Or maybe the Luau with a vegetarian?

For Hoop Dee Doo I've always been offered the pasta with marinara sauce or steamed or roasted veggies with baked potato. The roasted veggies were actually really awesome.

For the Luau, I was offered couscous with tofu, veggie lasagna, or a veggie stir fry. I ordered the couscous dish and was actually pretty disappointed. Even though it had some sort of sauce on it, it was just super bland. I had actually read a good review of it at some point, so I don't know if it was an off night or what...the salad at the Luau is great, but overall the quality of food is better at HDDR, IMO.

For HDD, do you have to let them know ahead of time? How far in advance?

Thanks for the info. For anyone else who might be reading this, I got an email today from WDW stating the following:

Here are our vegetarian offerings for the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show:

1. Stir fry vegetables with steamed Jasmine rice

2. Vegetable lasagna

3. Couscous with grilled tofu and sautéed vegetables

4. If you weat fish, a grilled mahi- mahi with fresh vegetables and steamed Jasmine rice

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue will have several options for Vegetarians.

1. Pasta with or without vegetables (sauces are marinara, garlic and olive oil or Alfredo)

2. A grilled or steamed vegetable platter

3. If you eat fish, a grilled salmon with choice of vegetables (Green Beans, Carrots or Corn)

I'd LOVE to hear more reviews and experiences any DISers have had with any of these choices.

I have always let them know at least 48 hours in advances, but I normally don't call any earlier than 4 days or so before the ADR. I'm sure they could accommodate you if you didn't call, but I think it goes more smoothly that way.
