Vegetarian friendly restaurants

We are a party of 8 with 2 vegetarians that will be on the dining plan for 4 nights in June. We are looking at Chef Mickey's one night, California Grill another night (using 2 meals) and would like another table service meal outside the parks for the last meal. May be interested in some inside the park as well.

Any suggestions?

so many yummy options!!! the excellent thing about disney (one of so very many really) is that there are vegetarian options at almost every restaurant. you can even call in advance to speak to the chef and have something custom made if they don't have anything for you on the menu. i am a lactose intolerant vegetarian and i have never had trouble finding something to eat at disney - except some of the counter service places. most have veggie burgers but they aren't necessarily very good so we generally avoid them.

http://allears.net/din/vegtsparks.htm (and other pages on this site) will give you an idea of what is available for vegetarians at most restaurants. also - when you make adr's, mention it and they will make not of it when you arrive. in most cases they don't need a reminder, but feel free to remind if they don't mention it when you are seated. the chef will usually come out to speak to you and be sure you are all set. (we've even had the chef's come out and go over the buffet items with me to discuss exactly what is in each item and which items i can eat without getting sick.)

I'm a vegetarian and didn't have too much trouble anywhere we ate during our last trip. I'd recommend The Wave particularly and Jiko was very good as well.

Restaurants inside the park seemed to have fewer veggie choices on the menu by and large, but there was always at least one meat free thing available.

You must eat at Boma.
The chef there will make a fantastic meal including dessert.

Vegetarian here! Jiko was great. I got the tamales and a side of that famous mac&cheese. Hollywood Brown Derby's tofu dish was awesome!! Plaza at MK also has a great veggie sandwich! I know you're looking for somewhere outside the parks so I guess I would recommend Ohana. I know, I know - its all about the meat skewers. I just LOVE the bread, LOVE the salad, LOVE the veggies, LOVE the noodles, and LOVE the dessert. They also can make you a special tofu noodle dish. They have great drinks and I just love it there!

Edited to say that like PP have said, almost any restaurant you go to will be able to accommodate your diet!

You don't have to do it while making reservations. I inquired about it before my trip when I made the ADR's and the CM told me that each restaurant is able to accommodate vegetarians as long as you let your hostess know when you check in for your reservation. Hope this helps!

Thanks............I just don't want the vegetarians in our party to feel like we have not taken their dietary needs/desires into account when picking the restaurants!! I appreciate all the suggestions.
