Vegetarian food?

Can anyone tell me how much choice there is for vegetarians at Disneyland?

I have gone there twice and remember very little choice but it was years ago and I am (naively?) hoping it has improved by now.

I just got back on Sunday, although I'm not vegetarian my girlfriend is so I was looking out on the menus for her as we're going together in September.

I actually saw quite a few nice vegetarian options on the menus! You can take a look at all of the menus in the resort restaurants here: http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/dining/restaurant-menus/

Have a great trip :)

Hi,

All the restaurants have vegetarian options.
Usually just one or two options though, and mostly in the "vegetable pasta" department, but even in the fast food places, there are options for you. I believe the veggie options are indicated with a green "V". As mentioned above: check the (photos in the) restaurant section.

A special recommendation from this fellow veggie for Annette's Diner, in Disney Village. They have the "Green Piece" burger, a great (and large!) veggie burger. They also have a warm camembert salad that's absolutely fantastic.

Bon appetit ;)

Can't help with the Dinner show menu I'm afraid but my recommendation is for the "Normal Salad" in the Rainforest Cafe which is full of many different vegetables and if you include fish, the salmon and gnocchi is nice too. Same, if you eat salmon or prawns, there are nice salads in Starbucks for a quick and cheap lunch.

Believe or not there isn't a single hot sandwich in E of S without chicken! I suppose you could ask for it not to be put in.

The veggie option in the Blue Lagoon is a sort of curried veg crumble which is slightly different from the usual pasta or risotto.

EOS do not allow you to take out any ingredients. We tried last February (to take the meat out of a child sandwich for my mostly veggie DD) and they flatly refused! Fish isn't an option for her (I'm not so good and will choose fish, particularly the tuna melt) so we ended up getting her the pizza.

That's strange as DH had the beef sandwich (with horseradish and cheese) and asked for it withOUT the horseradish and cheese, and it wasn't a problem! lol

Lol maybe try the 'allergic' angle!! What's French for allergic?? (We DIDN'T do this for DH but worth having in the arsenal just in case!)

Lol! We have to do that anyway (with me) and there isn't anything edible in EOS, so I take meds with me ;) The allergy breakfast is dire too - though the crisp breads are great :)

I'm still asking again in half term, one of the days they have got to give in haha!

Hi. Im veggie & there is no problems eating at disneyland paris.

Beware of ordering dishes marked with the green V as these often contain fish. If you're unsure just ask, I've always found the CMs helpful.

There is something at every restaurant & I ate well in the buffets too. The vegetarian option at BBWWS is a filled pasta, tortellini type thing. Plus a veggie chilli, cornbread, Apple crumble & the drinks. A filling meal :)

EOS do offer a veggie sandwich. There's one that is actually called veggie which is feta cheese. My favourite the Caprese which is mozzeralla & tomato. They will also adapt others such as the grilled cheese & do it without bacon. Yum! Also there is veggie salad & pasta options aswell as the egg & chedder breakfast roll. Def no meat in the brownies either!

Counter service is more difficult but I'd recommend Fuente del oro for a veggie taco, nacho & rice feast.

On the disney owned buffets expect things like soup, jacket potatoes, veggies, spinach lasagna, pastas aswell as the chips & pizza type goods.

Annettes for a decent Aubergine burger, rainforest cafe for pizza or maybe ludwigs for patzle. Blue lagoon served a delicious coconut curry that is the best meal I had there by miles.

I don't eat the mousse or jelly type desserts but the pancakes were very much welcomed.

Have a great time.

*nods in agreement* I always get the tomatoes taken off. No problem.

I have noticed things marked with a V that are fish dishes. It instantly makes me very untrusting. I am not overly convinced that the cheeses they use will be vegetarian either.

Does anyone know about the fries/chips? I am wondering what they are cooked in and with.

I have decided to take plenty of snacks with me just to be sure. My husband will eat the veggie chilli and burgers but I don't like soya and I doubt my older son would go for it either.

I always worry about puddings too as I suspect that a very narrow view of "meat-free" is taken with no thought for by products like gelatine. I've never seen puddings labelled one way or the other.

I have pretty much ruled out puddings anyway. However I know they sell Ben and Jerry's so we won't miss out too much on that.

Still check the ingredients though? I'm always nervous about eating familiar stuff in a foreign country :-/

The company have a uniform ingredients list and it is very likely both the UK and the French will be made in the same factory anyway. I remember when I fist found out they were veggie said they were across Europe but just don't mark the same. :thumbsup2 Unfortunately it may end up all I can eat.
