My DH is a vegetarian and as I was reviewing the dinner menu at Kona, I noticed that there are no vegetarian (no meat/no fish) meals listed. I would love to make a reservation there for our upcoming trip in May since I have read such good reviews about it.
Would my DH be able to order a vegetarian meal there even though there are none listed on the dinner menu that do not contain meat or fish?

Thanks :)

I'm almost positive that you will be able to get a vegetarian meal if you contact the restaurant prior to your visit. It shouldn't be any problem, Disney is very good at accommodating special diets. I would inquire about this when you make a res. I don't have personal experience ordering a vegetarian meal. Hopefully, someone will chime in that has done that.

If you've never been, you should know that the meat and peel-and-eat shrimp goes around the room on skewers and is removed onto your plate at the table. - not sure if this would bother dh. (I have a vegetarian friend that would be sickened by all the meat going around.) That said, 'Ohana is fun and I believe your dh would be welcome to eat the other all-you-care-to-eat items offered, like salad, veggies and dessert.

DS is a vegetarian and they did a special dish for him, no problem at all.

Kona were happy to make the Pan Asian noodles with tofu for my vegetarian Dh which was very nice. The dish was very sweet however, with a prominent taste of pineapple which DH didn't really enjoy.
