Vegetarian Dining Options

You may have seen it but there is a great thread on the dining board about a couple's experience in vegan dining. A lot of folks have chimed in with their experiences. They called ahead to ohana's and had a wonderful experience.

you can eat vegetarian at the HDD review - you just have to tell them in advance..
also, it won't be all you can eat (as for the carnivores) - you'll get a meal, like at any other restaurant...

Do you know a number to call ahead to HDD? I have been looking and apparently its really hard to call them because they only come in right before the shows.

it was written on our reservation when we spoke to disney dining reservations...we never spoke directly HDD....
we've never spoken with any of the restaurants until we got there, but it was always indicated on our reservation...

I'm a fan of a nice taste of meat also, but I love me some vegi's! Thank's for sharing! I'd ALWAYS rather eat a vegi dish instead of Disney's ATTEMPT at a hamburger....YUCK!

we are traveling with a veggie child. I think that we will be OK at the sit down restaurants, but some of the counter service places we were looking at don't have vegetarian options, Not sure what to do about that, any suggestions??

What places were you looking at, just out of curiosity?
I ate at a couple counter service places when I went to Disney World in November. You can check out my dining reviews in my signature. There's also a bunch of vegetarian and vegan dining reviews going on right now in the restaurants section.

Hands down my favorite veggie meal that was counter service had to be at the Magic Kingdom at the Columbia Harbor House. Almost every counter service spot has vegetarian options, though some are better than others (obviously). If you let me know which ones you plan on visiting I bet I could help you out.

if he/she likes the veggie burger, it's available at many counter service places.....
