We want to eat at 'Ohana, but my daughters and I do not eat meat. I know they bring the shrimp last usually. Will the waiter make us sit through my husband eating beef and pork, or will he bring us shrimp when he brings my husband his first meat skewer?

Although I have never personally ate at Ohanas, I have found WDW is very vegetarian friendly.
I am sure that the waitress would have no problem bringing you guys shrimp if you explain the situation.

I am a vegetarian & when I went last June ever request was made.

Good Luck

Just a little 'Ohana pixie dusting here ...

We were at 'Ohana back in December, a party of 6. DW's aunt from Tampa had met us over there, and she is very much a minimal meat eater, but she was doing pretty well with the sides. Our waiter - unannounced and unrequested - brought her a vegetarian noodle dish, sort of like lo mein noodles with veggies and a soy-based sauce. I tasted it and it was really, really good. How's that for anticipating needs?

I'm guessing jacksonsmom is right - just ask your server for shrimp up front. Best I can remember, all the meats came out at about the same time. Your daughters will do just fine.

When we were at 'Ohana in May, we were brought the food in a random order. I think we got turkey first, then beef, shrimp and pork. Maybe you can make a note of it on your PS, that way they might be able to make you a vegetarian dish. The appetizers they first bring out has a salad and grilled? veggies.

Oh, my bad for not using the word "piscatarian" in the subject line. Many people use the term "vegetarian" to cover all sorts of diets. I figured most people would understand what I meant when they read my post, and most people did. But thanks for your comment anyway.

Your server can (and should) bring the skewers in any order and with whatever you request. If you say you're only going to eat shrimp, you should get shrimp without too much of a wait. And I'm sure vegetarian food is available upon request.

Speaking of variations on vegetarianism, I heard a bit on NPR where a guest was talking about people who call themselves vegetarians, but eat eggs, cheese, chicken, and occasional red meat! He calls them "ovolactopollobovovegetarians"
