We are considering going to the HDDR on our next trip (possibly for DD birthday). My concern is my DH who is a vegetarian. I understand you can get a different meal but we were curious what that might be. Somone mentioned a past primavera type dish. Does anyone know?

Also, DH didn't want to try the Ohana's or the Poly Luau because he thought there would be too much of display of meat and people eating meat off the bones with great gusto, etc. You get the idea? It's not that he minds others eating meat (I do) but the amount and celebration of it. I'm I correct in assuming that he wouldn't have this problem at HDDR?

The chefs can pretty much cook up anything for you. The most important thing is to CALL the HDDR about 48 hours before your PS! Talk to a chef personally!

When I was there they did not have my vegetarian request, no, I did not talk to the chef personally. The server was very sorry & the chef was able to whip me up something that I could eat.
But the server told me the next time I go to HDDR to personally talk to a chef there & put in a special request.

I did not feel out of place at HDDR. Yeah, there are ribs & chicken but it really isn't that bad.

I never been to the Luau either because of the same reason as your DH!
