vegetarian and Inventions

Hi -

On our next trip we're likely to take my sister and brother in law who are vegetarian. Its their first Disney trip so we want to show them all the highlights. Our favourite restaurant is Inventions so we'd really like to take them there, but I can't remember, other than some of the salads how much veggie food was there. Has anyone who's vegetarian been and did you find enough to eat. I'm also aware its quite expensive so I don't want them to feel they've been ripped off for just being able to eat salad.

For you veggies out there - which do you think are the best veggie restaurants at DLP? They don't eat fish but are quite well travelled so don't go down to the level of enquiring about stock / animal rennet etc. when on holiday - just avoid anything thats obviously meat or fish. As its their first Disney experience we would like to include character meals - Cafe Mickey looks like it has some options and for a non character meal King Ludwigs seems to have a fair bit

I was impressed by the courgette gratin in rendezvous des stars, and there was quite a bit of other veggie stuff.
inventions has sooooo many salady things, veg and spuds - i don't remember other veggie mains though.
do they like desserts??

Annette's and the Rainforest Cafe are meant to do nice veggie food so im told, with veggie burgers an option too. Depends if you want cuisine food really.

Not sure what else they do, but been told it's nice

Yeah, I saw someone at Annettes having the Veggie Salad and that looked really tasty.....

And the Rainforest Cafe does a couple of nice veggie options (I haven't had them though....)... They do a veggie burger and a couple of veggie pastas....

Mrs loved the veggie salads and burgers at Annettes and I think that McDonalds did a reasonable salad if every other option was unavailiable.

A bit but we were once sat next to an awful family in Annetes, the Mum was a Veggie and asked what the options were, when it was pointed out to her she said she didn't like them and would have the chilli instead . I couldn't stop all through our meal, so chilli may be an option for some

From what I can remember at Inventions apart from salad and yummy desserts was Cheese and Tomato Pizza, Vegetarian Risotto, asstd vegetables, mashed potato, garlic potatoes and I think there was a vegetable stir fry oh and cheese and biscuits.

I think it was worth it for the character interaction.

There was vegetable Lasagne the other week when we went so I would think there is always at least one veg main course

We were over there a week ago - if any help, I had a decent veggie tortellini with tomato and veg based sauce in Silver Spur Steakhouse (in Frontierland I think) and a nice veg chilli with wedges in Billy Bob's in the Disney Village bit where Rainforest Cafe etc is.

Finding veggie options in France generally is tricky to say the least!! Just warn them that choices will be more limited than over here, but there is still some nice nosh to be had.
