Vegatable question

Hi.......I figured if any board should have the answer....this was the one:

I'm really trying to make sure that I eat healthy and of course the right foods and vegatables.

My question is simple:

If a person was watching there weight and wanted to make sure that they were having the right fruits and vegatables what would you suggest?

Definitely the green leafy veggies and the orangy-yellow fruits. Limit the starchy veggies...peas, corn, etc.

rick...this is good advice.....one additional comment....eat red.
I haven't the time just now...but there's some good evidence that red foods (bell peppers, strawberries etc.) have some added health benefits....also...in general seek out veggies & fruits that have a high water/moisture content ( say berries vs. coconut for example).
