For a non-DIS friend....The vegan milkshake from scifi or 50's dinner--can you get those "to go" or are they found anywhere else in the parks/resorts? Thanks if anyone here knows!

A milkshake made without animal products, like milk.
Then it's clearly not a "Milk Shake" hence no Milk. But seriously, I was just wondering. I did the whole Vegan thing for about a year after doing the vegetarian thing for about 6 months. Just wasn't for me. But I asked what it was because I really enjoy the Soy based frozen drinks they serve at our local mall. They don't upset my stomach like milk does.

Could be Almond Milk,Soy, Or Coconut MILK.. LoL Therefore still technically a SilkShake..:teeth: My DW, is still trying to convert me.....I have to keep using my Jedi Mind tricks though, or else I too will succumb to the DARK side.:darth:.lol J/K of course.

So are there any similar things or other good vegan treats to be had anywhere else in the World?

I'm now dairy-free so a big thank you for posting this! I will make sure I add an ADR to 50 Prime Time or SciFi to my list. Are those available anywhere else like Beaches and Cream?!?

Yes, I always get a vegan milkshake at Beaches & Cream. You can also get a vegan root beer float, or even a vegan adult root beer float. :)

I don't know if one can get the vegan treats at the B&C to-go window; I've never tried.

I've read on here in the past that you can get them 'to go' from the bar at 50's Prime Time. I've never actually tried that myself. I've only had one at table inside of Sci Fi.

It's clearly, like any vegetarian or vegan food, just a name. Do you have the same question when someone asks for veggie burgers?

Of course! I correct them and say its a Veggie Pattie.

I'd recommend Dole Whip, the big Mickey Pretzels, the "butter" popcorn, and while not quick-service - I really liked Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge which had a pretty extensive vegan menu.
I've had the vegan shake at Sci-Fi and it was too sickly for me.

Someone has already recommended vegandisneyworld.com but I also recommend the Veg Disney facebook group - these are my go-to resources for trip planning.

You can get vegan root beer floats and the like at Plaza Restaurant - which might satisfy the creamy kick without the lactose vengeance. Presuming you like root beer.

Yes, my oldest used to be severely allergic to milk and eggs (he's outgrowing it, slowly though). He used to be offered Rice Dream ice cream for desserts at TS places, or sorbet. At DAK they used to have a place set up near the entrance that sold several snacks that were "allergy friendly".

To be safe, though, we always traveled with a lot of safe snacks for him.

Check out VeganDisneyWorld and VeganDisneyFood on Instagram. They post the most up to date vegan food daily, and it all looks amazing. Erin McKenna's Bakery in Disney Springs is also either all vegan, or has a very wide variety of vegan cakes/cookies/cupcakes that look good enough to almost convert me.

Thanks for all the info here. I'm a beef-producing ominovore, but I have a friend who is moving toward vegan, and asked about the shakes. I'll forward her all these sites to check out. Thanks!!

And for the poster who suggested the Dole Whip, that was my suggestion as well!! The float is my fave Disney treat. But I'm pretty sure all that sugar isn't something she would consume. But I will :)
