Hi,

I've got a question about the VEA. Our return flight leaves at 5pm, so check in opens at 3pm, on the VEA website it says to take the VEA 2.5 hours before check in, which would be 12:30pm, does this sound too early as I don't want to be sitting around CDG for hours on end with 3 young children to amuse.

Would the 1.30pm VEA get us there in enough time or is it not worth risking it?

Thanks, Charlotte.

I'm sure that a 1.30pm departure would give you plenty of time. If it was me I'd probably even leave it till the 1.55 departure - but I know that wouldn't suit most people. :teeth:

We've a worrier in our party  who would probably suggest an even earlier shuttle but I'd have no problem with 1.30pm shuttle. :thumbsup2

Firstly, it depends on what hotel you're at. If you're staying at the Disneyland Hotel, I'd allow 30 minutes just to get off Disney property. The Newport Bay Club is the last to be picked up, so you need only allow 5 mins here. (The full pick up order is Coach Park, Disneyland, New York, Cheyenne, Santa Fe, Sequoia, NBC)

The journey to the airport then takes around 45 minutes assuming a clear run, which it is rarely anything but. Then you've got to allow extra time depending on which terminal you're going to. Terminal 2 passengers get off first at three different locations and this takes time, so if you're flying from T1 add another 15 minutes, T3 add on 25 mins.

So in total it could take as little as an hour (NBC to first T2 drop off) or as much as 1h45m (DLH to T3).

The only thing to note is if you're coming home on a Sunday, remember that everyone else is also trying to get to the airport and you may not get on the first coach - especially if you are staying at one of the last hotels to be picked up as it will no doubt be pretty full already. So add on extra time for this. This rarely happens on any other days however.
