Can you use Disney Dllars at Vero? Can you pool hop at WDW if staying at VB, should you take a day trip to WDW? I made reservations there, online, but did not see "special requests" available; is this still an option?
Also made reservations for a nonmember for this month, and did not see "special requests"; is that option not available for nonmembers, or have they done away with it, or did I overlook it?

I believe that VB accepts Disney Dollars. You could call the resort to verify.

The reservation system does not accept room requests. You can call MS and have them noted on the reservations.

I know not room requests, but requests for certain views, near pool, etc; they used to have a section in online reservations for that; now, i can't find it. i'd recently reserved online at ssr for myself, and was able to make request for congress park, and near pool.

You really want to drive 90 miles each way to pool hop??

probably not, just wondering in case i did; i'd hate to drive 90 miles just to find out no; i guess i could ask CM at VB if its allowed, but didn't think of that with my OP. i'll be down there Veteran's Day week, and know the ph restrictions on Vet's day. i'll leave VB that friday, to drive back to jacksonville, and thought possibly stopping in wdw to visit my daughter who lives in orlando (already have her on our VB reservation, so she'd have a KTTW to ph with us friday). could she ph by herself at wdw that week while i'm in VB that week; if she came to VB, visited with us and picked up her KTTW, then went back to orlando. i could also put several of her friends on our VB reservation, so she could ph with friends if its allowed. she's not a member, or associate member, so i'm not sure if that makes a difference. i don't think she can, when i think about it, but what if i made her an associate member?

She would need her KTTW to pool hop to WDW and so would all her friends who were there with her. You would be limited to the number of beds in your villa at VB.

Associate members do not get the DVC perks. They are only able to access your account to book reservations with your points. They do not get a blue member card.
