VB/SSR rental car question

My family and I are doing a split stay on our next trip. We are flying into MCO and then driving to VB, staying for 4 nights and then driving to SSR. We want to rent a car at the airport and keep it only for the stay at VB and return it when we get to WDW. If we return the car to the Car Care Center are there buses that can get us back to SSR? Is it possible to drive straight to SSR and have someone there return the car for us? (Wouldn't that be nice!!)

Alamo & National at the Car Care Center have shuttles that will take you where ever you want to go on property. I'd suggest driving to SSR, checking in then only the driver returning the car and being brought back to SSR (or whreever) by the shuttle. (you may wish to drop a couple of bucks in the cup in the shuttle for the driver, but otherwise, it's free.

depending on the company that you use, there are several companies that have offices in the Downtown Disney Hotel row, and are within walking distance of SSR. DM and I rented car for one day back in Jan. and picked it up and returned @ the Regal Sun Resort and was only a 10-15 min walk from SSR (springs section). In my book, that's better than making the trip all the way to the Car Care Center and back.
