VB room selection

I am sure my question has been asked over and over and I actually have been losing sleep reading as many postings as possible but can't find an answer. We are at our 7 mo window to book at VB for August. We (dh, myself, dd12 and dd7) will only be staying for 5 nights. Dh really wants an ocean view. I see people say how nice the ov Inn rooms are but I am wondering are there any ocean view 1br to request? We are using our dvc for the first time in March (SSR) and are already planning our first VB trip. Since we have always stayed at value resort rooms, I don't think we would have a problem with the size of a studio. Best of both worlds would be great view, great room! Thanks for any help.

I have not seen any villa building room layouts for VB. I am sure some 1 BR have an ocean view, but it would only be a request. An OVIR is a booking category, so you will have an ocean view

Here is the layout of the villa buildings (created by lisareniff) where the 1 & 2 bedroom units reside.

These buildings are U shaped with the bottom of the U facing the ocean. The purple units are the lock-off 2 bdrm units that convert into a 1 bdrm and a studio. The blue units are dedicated 2 bdrm.

There are 3 villa buildings (12, 14, & 15) 12 is on the north end and 15 is on the south end. Building 14 is pretty much secluded by vegetation and other buildings. You are not going to be able to choose a particular room, but I would request a room either in bldg 12 or 15 that either faces the ocean or is on the north leg of bldg 12 or the south leg of bldg 15. Oh, and 3rd floor...

We have been to WDW more than a dozen times so I know what I want to do there. But VB is all new and I am trying to absorb all the information I can

Not to get OT, but I'm going in October (11-16th). How was your weather? Waves? Sea nettles or lovebugs?

I understand your love of the INN room.... we have been there many times... we now want the luxury of the 1bdrm. AND THEN go down to the ocean and love life. Just an evolution I think.
