We'll be at VB 4/9-4/16 and wonder how crowded it will be.

1. Are there enough beach chairs and pool chairs to make sure you have a place to sit? We've been to too many resorts where folks reserve their spots by early morning and hope we won't need to do this.

2. Where do you recommend to eat for Easter dinner? We'd love something on a waterway. I'm sure we'll need to make reservations.

3. What characters are at the breakfast besides Goofy?

4. Can you recommend a nice Catholic church for Easter service?

thanks!

We'll be there 4/4-4/11 for our 2nd Spring Break trip.
We were there for Easter last yr, you want a good spot at the pool, get there early. The CM's talk a good job about moving stuff, but I didn't notice it happening.

We did the Easter day brunch, and there were no characters, but Alice's Rabbit and Donald were in the lobby for pictures. They did have an Easter egg hunt at the resort.

I think we were stuffed from the brunch, so we just got pizza for dinner that night. So I don't know about how busy the restaurants are.

No clue on the Catholic Church, why don't you google map the resort and then search for churches.

The town of Sebastian has a Catholic Church close by (the Disney resort is actually in the town of Sebastian). Can't remember the name, but google Catholic Churches in Sebastian, Fla.

The catholic church is right up the road route 1 a few hundred feet from Walmart in Sabastian. They are very friendly to guests.

Ocean Grill is right on the Beach in Vero Beach, wonderful food. Don't know what they do for Easter, but you won't go wrong there.

Didn't think the character breakfast was a big deal, but there are several activities like the unbirthday party, campfire sing alongs, tenis, and kids night out. I believe they have a club two nights a week t whatch the kids so parents can have a nice dinner at Sonias.

The green cabin room lounge has live music at night and is very kid friendly. They'll make milkshakes for the kids, and used to have shoots and ladders and other games for them to play. It is a nice family evening entertainment and has an outdoor balcony overlooking the ocean. I wouldn't miss that one.

Actually, there are no beach chairs on the beach. You either bring your own or rent them from the beach rental service. They will set you up with chairs, umbrella, etc.

At the pool, people come out early in the morning and put stuff on the chairs but don't sit in them for hours. Makes it hard to find somewhere to sit. Point it out to the CMs at the pool if you have a problem. Or just take it on yourself to move stuff if you see areas where no one is sitting, just a book or a towel or something.

Thanks everyone. I didn't know the resort was in Sebastian. Is the church you're referring to St Sebastian Parish? We'll want to eat at Ocean Grill - it got a good review in the AAA book. We'll also make sure to reserve some pool chairs - DH absolutely hates doing that, but I have a bad back and don't have a choice...

Not wanting to hi-jack this thread. We have been to VB twice now. We were wondering - if you do go ahead and rent the chairs and umbrella for a day - can you go back up to your room and come back down and they will still be there? And how long are they there? If you rent "by the day", how long is that day? Till 5:00 maybe? We didn't ask while we were there, but we are curious. We were happy by the pool, but we would like to know for future trips.
