DH - 32, loves Disney
Mom - 64
Dad - 67

Last day!!!! Way bummed!!!! Up at 8:15 to get the car packed etc - then off to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's! My parents had never been and they just ate it up. We had a blast. Saw Goofy immediately, then got seated. Had fun with Chip and Dale, Mickey and Pluto - missed Minnie, but we had seen her the other day, so it was ok. Ate way too much. I really love the food here. Waved our napkins around our heads and had a great time.

After breakfast it was time to go our separate ways. Mom and Dad were driving to visit relatives, and DH and I didn't have to fly out until 8:30pm, so tearful goodbye in the parking lot since we had so much fun! Then DH and I were off to Magic Kingdom. Here's where it gets interesting. Mom and Dad had bought a length of stay pass for 3 days and were giving us the third day. Well, we went to use it and the ticket machine said it was expired. We figured out pretty fast what probably happened in that they activated it for Sat - Mon, when we really wanted it Sun-Tues. The problem was we weren't the names on the card! Hmm.. so we went to OKW since that is where they got it and just pretended to be them and told them the dilemma. They fixed it quickly and not only gave us the right day, but added on 4 more!!!!!!! Now that is just cruel for 2 people who love Disney but have to get back to work!!! We were racking our brains to see how we could call in sick, just win the lottery or something. But since we had been gone 10 days we figured we would get no sympathy from work. But that is just another example of how great Disney is.

Anyway, back to Magic Kingdom just so DH could buy 2 Pirate pens. Then off to monorail to Grand Floridian to buy some other things we had seen. After Grand Floridian we took the monorail to TTC - got to sit up front. Had the greatest drivers. Trivia Doug is one of the names - he was quizzing us before he would let us in the front, but poor man didn't know who he was messing with - we know a lot! HAHA and we got all of them right. So we had fun answering trivia from him all the way there. Very cool.

Finally at EPCOT - rode Spaceship Earth then to Honey I Shrunk the Audience - does anyone else cry at the preshow during "True Colors"? Ok, I know I'm hormonal (being pregnant and all) but I bawl like a baby everytime I see this - pregnant or not! I'm weird! Then walked around the countries. Saw a great mime/clown in France who was following people around and he was dressed fairly normally so the people had no clue that he was mimicking them. It was very funny. Then to Living Seas- love that you can skip the movie now (although I do think it is a good movie - we have seen it alot).

Back to OKW - I change clothes in the bathroom - we were heading back to Ohio afterall and I knew it would be chilly. But first a quick stop at PLeasure Island and WestSide to see the shops we hadn't seen. To airport! Wah!!!!!

Got to Hertz by 6:30 - ate at Burger King at the airport - flight was supposed to leave at 8:30 didn't leave until 9:30 - Home by midnight!!!!

Final thoughts - Fantastic trip. Truly loved Vero - would probably do that after WDW in the future just as a recoop kind of thing. Enjoyed doing Disney with my parents. They love going there too but wanted to do it "our" way and I think they enjoyed that. We never want to leave!

Thanks for reading. I always love reading these and was looking forward to posting! Until next year...........

You all had a great time. I also liked Chef Mickey's - but we did dinner. Gotta to love the napkin twirling. Thanks for posting!

Enjoyed your reports. Thanks for posting and good luck with the baby.

Thanks for the report. I would like to hear more about Vero beach. It looks great and we may plan a trip out there.

Thanks for posting your reports. I loved them! Sounds like you had a great trip. :)

What a TEASE to give you 4 more days on a l.o.s. pass.....seems such a waste! That's a real heartbreaker! Oh well, you got your last day out of it anyway! Thanks for the report!

glad to hear you liked Chef Mickeys as "adults" we are trying it for the first time (first character meal) in December. THanks again for writing these. I always love reading peoples reports to get my disney fix!

Thanks for sharing your great trip report with us!! :) And BTW, I get all emotional at the HISTA preshow too...Must be a girl thing...:p

Josierac, Vero Beach is absolutely wonderful!! It is a Disney resort in all aspects so you still get the great Disney service. We don't have children yet (February! HAHA), but they have activities all day for kids - crafts, treasure hunts etc. There is a casual restaurant and a more expensive one plus a snack bar by the pool. We had an ocean view room and really spent our days either on the balcony, walking the beach or sitting by the pool. It is a very non-commericial area which is great! Lots of neat environmental things to do - manatees, learning centers, turtles etc. We can't say enough how much we enjoyed this resort and can't wait to go back!! Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks for reading!!!!

Enjoyed reading all your trip reports! Good luck with the baby and all! You'll have so much fun when you start taking the little one....seeing it all again through his or her eyes.

Thanks for sharing!
