I am looking at a last minute trip for my wife, 2 year old, and myself from July 3-6 at VB. All we are looking for is a beach and a pool. Is there enough to do at VB for a two year old and do they offer any type of daycare program or club? My daughter is not potty trained yet but loves playing with other kids.

I think Vero is perfect for a 2 year old.

They have a great pirate ship splash area for the kids and the beach is really nice. I wouldn't really go into the ocean except for dipping feet in because it can get a bit rough for a 2 year old.

The kids programs, someone else will have to chime in.

VB has a very nice pool and play area. As Disney Fanatic said, I would not spend much time in the ocean. We had a very scary incident there when the kids were younger. My DD was pulled under by an undertow. I got pulled under myself trying to get to her. DH was trying to keep younger DD from going after her sister. Thank god for the chair rental guy, who came into the water and pulled out my older DD!! No lifeguards. Needless to say, next time we go to VB, it will be pool only!

There are organized activities for kids, but you will not be able to take advantage of the Kids Night Out program, b/c children must be at least four and potty trained. There are some activities that you can do with your two-year-old though.

VB is a beautiful resort!

There is also a playscape that the kids can play on...

Disney has a few activities your 2yo may enjoy...

There's a Tot Treasure hunt, where a CM hides some "coins" in the sand and the kids go digging for them...

There's always the Unbirthday Party... Fun for all ages...

Crafts in the Community Hall...

Uncle Banjo on the back porch of the inn...

Bubble blowing on the boardwalk...

Campfire...

OMG This is the place for you!!!! I have travelled to VB with my almost 4 year old ever since she was 11 months (5 visits). This place is parents paradise. They do have babysitting available on site (don't know the cost and have never used it) and as your child gets older if you want to go back there are lots and lots of options.

Just go you wont be dissapointed.

Thanks for the info. I tried to get a ressie for the dates that I want to go but had to waitlist two of the nights. I guess just being after the long weekend it is still a little busy there. I will check every day for any cancellations. If I can't get in are there any other recommendations for any other beach resorts in FLA? :sunny: I have looked at Casa Marina in Key West.
