Vault Disney...does anyone have any info on whats going on?

I read a post about Vault Disney on the Disney channel going off sometime in Sept.

Just wondered if anybody has any pertinent info if this is true or not. This week we have been taping since it comes on so late and they have been doing marathons so it makes me think something is happening just not sure what.

Thanks for any info that might shed a little light.

Vault Disney is indeed permanently ending, on Monday, September 9, as announced on banners scrolling onscreen during Vault Disney shows for the past week.

In the next two weeks they're giving us a marathon of Mickey Mouse Club episodes, all the Zorro episodes, and some of the more popular Walt Disney Presents specials as a "last chance" to see classic Disney entertainment on Disney Channel.

Disney Channel has reportedly been swamped with calls and letters in protest of the decision, and are said to be "surprised" by the fan reaction.

The LA Times is set to run an article on the situation this Saturday, and hopefully there will be more media attention on this issue.

Here's the new schedule of programs replacing Vault Disney:

12 Midnight: So Weird
12:30: Jett Jackson
1 AM: Boy Meets World
1:30: Smart Guy
2 AM: Sister, Sister
2:30: Even Stevens
3 AM: Sister, Sister (Another Episode)
3:30: Lizzie McGuire
4 AM: The Jersey

Thanks for all the info. I think I will write and call them, maybe let one more opinion be heard. Our kids like the newer shows which I cant relate to but they also enjoy the oldies as well. Maybe Disney will wake up to all the surprise responses before its too late, we might even get lucky enuff to get some of the Vault Disney stuff in to the prime time slots.

Yeah, I'm calling tomorrow & I sent a letter today.

If they don't change as far as I'm concerned, it's the same as the cable company telling me that starting Sept. 9th they'll no longer carry the station.

Except for the half hour during which Kim Possible is on, I totally agree.
