Vatican Splendors has left Florida and is now in Cleveland. We drove up to see it, and found it just as Kevin had described it. It's well worth seeing. One thought for people with visual impairments. It might be worth renting the headphones, as some of the placards are under glass and can be hard to read.

The exhibit is divided up into rooms. I thought there was a little something for everyone - I found the early history of the Vatican and St. Peter's interesting, as well as the room on the Swiss Guard.

We had not planned to stick around Cleveland, and were a little sorry we didn't do some research about the area. We drove through Little Italy in Cleveland as we were going to the museum. Yesterday wasn't outrageously hot, and we sort of kicked ourselves for planning to zip in and out of town so quickly.

Thanks to Kevin and John for the initial review. We wouldn't have know this was available if you hadn't mentioned it.

How'd you like all that construction around the area? What a MESS! And I used to work in a restaurant in Little Italy! Mmmmmmmmmmmm, good food on the hill!

It's funny I saw a bunch of signs for Vatican Splendors near the museum, but I haven't heard much about it otherwise. I'm surprised they aren't advertising it more. I think it looks fascinating. I actually don't get downtown much at all anymore, but the museum is next to the hospital my dad is in, so we were going to try and go before or after visiting hours one day.

I was just looking at the website. It's a shame they aren't visting more cities. I would love to see this exhibit, but I'm in Jersey, and with gas prices, there's no way I'm driving out to Ohio. :sad2: Looks like an incredible exhibit.

As someone from an area where we consider a two lane interstate a big deal, my hands were gripped very tightly on the steering wheel as we came into town. Yipes!
