Vanity or Pedastal Sinks at French Quarters

I know that prior to the renovations at the FQs, that the rooms had two pedestal sinks. I've heard that since the renovations that the rooms now have vanities, so there is counter space around the sinks similar to the other moderate hotels. But, my friend who stayed in a renovated room this past January said it was still two pedestal sinks. Does anyone have any information about this? Is it just some rooms that got renovated with vanities?

Just got back from the FQ - building 4. We had full counters with th 2 sinks along with a large storage shelf under the sinks. They definitely weren't pedestals! HTH!

Correct also there was a narrow shelf above the sinks running the lenth of the mirror. Plenty of space. It was really nice.

Here's a pic of under the sink, sorry it has a towel animal on the shelf, but that is why I have the shot.
