Anyone who has done either the Vancouver to Hawaii or vice versa have any packing advice? We will probably spend a couple of nights in both Vancouver and at Hawaii on each end.

Our sailing (Hawaii to Vancouver 2022) was in May, so weather may vary somewhat. It was warm in Hawaii, but not crazy hot like Texas. Though, we did excursions to higher elevations, particularly Haleakala, and definitely needed jackets up there (temps in the 50s compared with about 78 at sea level). The first couple of sea days leaving Hawaii were warm and sunny, then the weather changed to cool and rainy for the next few days as we were getting to Vancouver. We had nice weather in Vancouver. I would think that in October (guessing that is your sailing), it'll be nice and autumn-like in Vancouver.
So basically, bring all the things. A little of each. (we also sailed on to Alaska, so the jackets came back out for part of that)

I took the advice of the captain on our our first Alaska cruise and packed to "dress like an onion, in layers". Pack lightweight pants that can be worn in both locations, a lightweight jacket and a warmer layer like a sweatshirt or sweater, plus items that can be layered. Tank top with a light weight shirt on top makes for a two layer outfit on the colder sea days. Frankly I think more so than packing is setting your expectations. Don't plan on laying around at the pool the first few days out from Vancouver, so you don't pack sunbathing outfits for those days. And know that DCL heats the insides of the ship very well. Even on those colder sea days I never needed a jacket inside. I will say many on our cruise seemed to have packed for the Hawaii end of the cruise and didn't realize the first 3 sea days would be downright chilly and windy. The gift shop sold a lot of long sleeve outwear. Everyone onboard had matching outfits.😂

I agree with the PP. The late April Vancouver to Hawaii cruise 2022 was chilly for the first 3 days. I was wearing all the layers I had brought. No one was in the pools except the hot tubs. An October sailing might have very different weather, though. I would guess you will certainly need warm clothes in Vancouver.

Layers for sure!! We are having an unusually warm and sunny October here in Vancouver right now but this is not the norm. I live 45 minutes from downtown and it was 27C today (about 84F). On Oct 15 😳 The average daily temp in Vancouver is about 14C (58F).
