We are staying at the Pan Pacific right at Canada Place for 3-nights prior to our cruise at the end of July. Is there anywhere nearby, within walking distance, where we can purchase a case of water and some alcoholic beverages to bring onboard with us?

  • To the East is Nesters, Rexell, further is Costco
  • To the South is Rexell, London Drugs, Shoppers Drug Mart
  • To the West is Urban Fare

  • To the South West is the Signature liquor store (Alberni & Bute) with convenient access to Robson restaurants, there's a smaller store in the Lookout with limited hours to the East.

BTW... alchohol has higher taxes in Canada... you may choose to get some liquor at the airport duty free before arriving in Vancouver then top off after landing.

we got great prices on alcohol at a store a few blocks from the Pan. its on the way to Gas town right next to the dollar Store.

Just looking to lighten your load a little - it's not really necessary to bring bottled water onboard. The water on the ship is processed the same as most bottled waters and is quite good for drinking. Many of us just bring our own refillable water bottle to use.

A refillable bottle can also be used in the ports. Of course you wouldn't just throw it away after finishing the water which is sort of the point of a refillable bottle.

For those of you who do bring bottled water onboard, do you just carry it around with you until your stateroom is ready? Any tips on the easiest way to do that?

Yes it's easy it's an hour we put it near a table eat at cabanas and the room is ready.

Yes, it must be carried around until your room is ready (usually around 1:30). Many people use rolling carry on bags.

True, I prefer It fresh as after the bottle is open bacteria get in, the more it's refilled and left say in the sun the more bacteria grows. For a $ or two it's worth it. You never know if you can find/ stop for a drink on tours.

Some make an assumption you buy water re the ships water, I like the ships water but off ship I prefer sealed new water bottles.
