Hi all! We are seriously considering driving to Disney in June from Philly due to the airfare prices. My question is, has anyone ever rented a passenger van to make the drive? I have a minivan that seats 7, but there are 10 of us. That's definitely not going to work. I was considering renting a 12 or 15 passenger van to make the drive. Was looking for opinions from people who have done this in the past. Also, in the end is it really worth it over flying by the time you pay for the van, mileage, gas and tolls? We would have 8 drivers so we would go straight through so no need for a hotel along the way. Thanks for any advice you can give!

That is why I was thinking we would need the 15 passenger van, but not sure. I guess I would have to see how big the cargo area is.

I would just drive 2 regular vans. It will be faster, cheaper, and way more comfortable.

We drive to FL, but in our own vehicle. However, we have done van rentals for ski trips to New England...it worked out!!!

For figuring your costs, 2200ish miles round trip...no tolls south of Baltimore or DC depending on how you route through...

Biggest consideration for me would be how to maneuver once in FL. Would 2 vehicles be more convenient or will everyone be on the same schedule? That type of thing...

We really won't be driving once there because we are staying on site. Maybe a grocery run when we first get there, but we really don't leave the property. Thanks for info about the mileage and the tolls, I have a lot to think about.
