Van on a tent site?

We are planning a short weekend camping trip in the next few weeks to the Fort. We have a minivan and sleep in the back. We rig up a tarp canopy over the van and picnic table for shade/rain.

Can we do this on a tent / popup site? Or will we need to get a different site? I am not sure of the differences between the sites, or if there are vehicle restrictions.

Sure I think you can.

Some tents are sold and specifically designed to fit the end of a Suburban/Tahoe or minivan. I remember having a picture of one in a past trip report.

Thanks. I just called and booked a tent site for 8/23 and 8/24. The CM said van campers were allowed...and I even got the AAA discount!

Now I will keep my fingers crossed for no hurricanes.

And I love that truck tent! We looked into them but we don't camp enough to make it worthwhile.
