We will be there during Value Season in January. There are a few dates blocked. Can the Value Tickets be used on weekends if the dates are not blocked?

Sorry, but what's a "Value Ticket?"

So sorry. I see pricing that ranges from Peak to Value. We will be there during the Value period. I wasn't sure if weekends are restricted. or only the dates they list as blocked. Thanks

I'm assuming you are referring to the one day MK tickets which have varying cost levels (value, regular and peak), is that correct? If that's the case, then you could use a 1-day MK value ticket on Sunday, Jan. 21 and Sunday, Jan. 28. All other weekend dates are either regular or peak ticket prices.

Do you just need a one day ticket? If so, you need to buy the appropriately priced ticket for that specific day.

Edited to add: If you are buying multi-day tickets, they are just one price and don't go by "value, regular, peak". Multi-day tickets can be used any day of the year.

Thanks. Yes we only need one day. We are actually going to Epcot.

Oh, ok! Yes, those one day tickets fluctuate as well. Yes, you will pay the ticket price as it's designated for the date you choose to go, so if you choose a value date, it will be the value price. If you book the tickets through the WDW site, it will tell you exactly how much your ticket will cost for that day.

No dates are "blocked." What happens is that the COST of the one-day ticket changes based
on expected attendance levels.
In reality, if you pre-bought a "value season" priced ticket, you have the option of upgrading it to whatever higher level cost-point is in effect on the date of your WDW visit.

Logically, then, if a guest is unsure of the exact date of a one-day WDW park visit,
and the guest wants to purchase a ticket in advance, it would make sense to only purchase the lowest cost "value season" ticket before the trip.
Then just use it "as-is" or upgrade it, if the date chosen requires the use of a higher cost ticket.
