Value rooms, club level?

In the book that DVC sent it mentions something about value rooms and club level rooms? Is this only for booking outside of DVC resorts or is just like the hotel...standard view etc? Is there a point difference when booking? Sorry I am not new to disney but new to DVC

A few of the DVC Resorts have booking categories. Based upon your question you must be looking at AKV which has 4: Value, Standard, Savannah, and Club/Concierge. Each of these categories has a completely different point schedule and some room types (Grand Villas) are only available in certain categories. The most difficult to book (since that was another one of your questions) are Value and Club/Concierge because there are very few rooms in these categories and no such categories exist at any other DVC Resort.
