I know it's the square footage that is slightly less in these rooms compared to the regular rooms, but do you really notice? Is it that much?

Are there any other differences?

I've stayed at a dedicated 2 br at Kidani, a 1 br at Kidani and a value 2 br lockoff at Jambo and the space difference is definitely noticeable...mostly in the master bedroom and bath. At Kidani the master bathroom is connected to the master bedroom. In the 2 br value at Jambo, it is across the hall. The master bedroom in Jambo is noticeably smaller. Like the door almost hits the bed when you open it. We would have liked more space but honestly it wasn't enough for us to quibble about. The living room space is a bit smaller than Kidani, but we didn't notice that as much or maybe didn't care as much ;)

Now, that being said, we'll probably do the 2br value as much as possible because for just a few points more than a standard 1 br we can can have a 2 br so we bring a few extended family members, plus we liked the convenience of Jambo with the restaurants downstairs and the larger gift shop. So I guess we don't mind the size difference THAT much!! :rotfl2:

We absolutely noticed a difference. The value 1 bedroom was tiny, to the point where we were disappointed for our first couple days of the trip. That said once we got over ourselves and realised that we really didn't need much space we enjoyed it. We currently have 2 more stays booked for a value 1 bedroom. The rooms are tiny, but were fine for us in the end. Just set your expectations really low. In order to fit a twin air mattress in the master bedroom it had to be 1/4 under the bed!

Sent from my phone using DISBoards Ap, please excuse any typos and autocorrect mistakes.

I've staying in a value studio and a standard studio and really didn't notice the difference. Both times there were 3 of us in the room. I was too excited to be at Disney!!

Interesting. Well we're used to standard studios, so I figured to go from a standard stuido to a value 2 bdr might not be that bad. LOL We usually book 2 studios, one for us, one for my parents. It's always less points. But I noticed the value 2bdrms were comparable to 2 studios.

I did hear that the rooms at Kidani are slightly bigger than Jambo already. We've only ever stayed in a studio at Jambo.

I think we'll try it once and see how it goes.

Of I had to choose between 2 studios or a value 2 bedroom I would definitely go with the value 2 bedroom. It will be nice to have the living area and kitchen for your group to hang out in. just be prepared for tiny, but really how much room do you need if you are just sitting down?

Ditto. We have had our DGS (Infant) with us and the short room was not noticable.

I certainly hope not as I have 20 nights over 3 trips scheduled this year in value villas (mix of 2BR, 1BR and studios.) ;)

I've only stayed in value studio one time. Yes it was smaller but not so much that I would be too bothered by it.

We've stayed value a couple times and will always grab it for the savings on points. I never really noticed the 2 bedroom was smaller until we moved to a 2 bedroom at OKW later in the week. That was HUGE!

I don't think that's a fair comparison though. OKW is huge in general!! LOL ;)

Well that's good to hear about the value rooms.

Next question, how many of the value 2 bdrms are available at that resort during Princess half marathon weekend, and what are the chances at 7 months out I can get one. :/

You are cutting three feet off the end of the rooms. So the space between things is narrower. So if you had a number of people in your living room you would notice it. But otherwise you don't. The only thing I do not care for is that most of the Value Studios do not have a closet. They use an armoire. That means less drawer space. We stayed in one for 8 nights and we had a fair amount of clothes because the weather was hot one day and cold the next and we did laundry as well. If we had been a family of four, there wouldn't have been room for the kids clothes.

Value 2BRs are 945 sq ft, others at Jambo are 1071, Kidani 2BRs are 1173 and have three bathrooms. Those size differences are significant and very noticeable even between the values and other Jambo rooms. A value studio is about 315 sq ft compared to about 360 for the other studios at both buildings. That is also a significant difference.

As to getting a value room (regardless of size) for Princess half-marathon weekend, the chances are iffy. Value rooms are gone by 7 months out the overwhelming majority of the year and and that time is right at the end of Presidents week. You may have a chance but make sure you have a back-up plan

The only thing I did not care for was the shower/tub combo in the 1bdrm value. The only reason for that was because the tub was very difficult to get in and out of when taking a shower. Other then that we didn't notice any lack of space :goodvibes

It was hard for me to use the tub/shower combo. I rather use the tub in the studio portion of the 2 bedroom value.

All of the 1BRs in Jambo House have that combined tub/shower except for the few HA 1BRs that have a roll-in shower instead of a tub. That's one of the reasons we prefer Kidani -- the 1BRs in Kidani have a separate shower stall.
At Kidani the master bathroom is connected to the master bedroom. In the 2 br value at Jambo, it is across the hall.
The other 1BRs in Jambo House are also set up that way.

Ah ya know this would explain why I thought they were separate in Jambo since we got a HA room with a tub and separate shower combo now that I think about it when we had a regular standard 1bdrm one time lol. Now that I know this is the case I guess the Value didn't bother me at all :lmao:.

I've only been in a Kidani 1br, a studio and a Jambo standard view studio. There was a difference in the bathroom set-up in the studios.

We are booked in a Jambo value studio for the first week of Dec. I was curious about the layout/size so looked at photos.....it appears that the sofa is on the other side of the bed, not close to the sliders like all the other studios. Can anyone confirm this?

In the value studios, the bed is next to the slider.

In the Jambo House 2BR lockoffs, the connecting door between the studio and the 1BR can be in one of two places. In some rooms it is in the entryway, in other rooms it is in the living area. If you have a room with the connecting door in the living area, I think they put the bed next to the sliders so that there is enough room to open the connecting door.

Thanks for the replies. It's nice to know what to expect.
