Value resorts?

Hello...hope someone can help.

My mother and I are taking my two kids to WDW the first week in June. I'm a DVC member so we'll be staying several days at OKW.

Last night, my mother told me she got a postcard for Value resorts. Now I'm thinking we'll go down on Friday instead of Sunday. I've stayed at ASMo and ASSp.

Does it really make a difference which value resort we stay at? Anything good or bad about each one. I'd prefer quieter and less crowded. DS (4) will be happy as long as it has a pool. Any big difference in the food courts among the hotels?

I really enjoyed the Pop Century, mainly because it is not as "runned down" as the All-Stars. I also liked the location to the other parks better. I really wish I could remember what building I was in on our last trip, but it had a great view of Illuminations.

We've stayed in all of the Value Resorts EXCEPT the All Star Sports and I must say that we have loved them all! Years ago we stayed in the All Star Music (there was only Sports & Music then). It was really nice and everything was close. Since then we have stayed in the All Star Movies (when they first opened) and Pop Century. We LOVED the Pop Century because it was different, but I must say with little people around, the All Star Movies is a TON of fun!!! We stayed in the Toy Story Bldg and it was perfect for us! The girls sat in RC each morning and evening went through the door to Andy's Room, etc. It was a blast! That is THEIR favorite memory of the place. Last year we went to POFQ and that was the first time they mentioned liking a resort more than AsMo! They cherish the memories they have of the All Star Movies. We haven't been there in a few years though so I am not certain of the conditions of the Resort at this point. The CM's were incredible each time we have gone so it isn't like you are treated poorly because it is a Value Resort. You just have more money to spend in the parks! LOL I am sure you all will have a blast regardless of WHERE you stay! ENJOY!!!!!!

First you might want to call because it probably also is good for moderate and deluxe resorts if you;re interested

For a value I would recommend POP - the Lake makes such a difference in this resort and the rooms are far more understated than the All Star rooms. Bus service is great and food court is fine. The icons are lots of fun for the kids.

I have only stayed at the POP value resort. I felt the CMs were more friendly than the deluxes even. Also more helpful than at the CBR. I am going back the May and its POP all the way. OK I am going to try to stay at BCV if i can find a nice DVC member to sprinkle some pixie dust my way

Just got back from ASMo Mighty Ducks and room just been renovated. Very fresh. I never thought I would say I liked a value (didn't care for ASMu) but we had a good time. Now it was only 3 nights and we were there for running, but no complaints. Decor all throughout was really cute, main pool was nice and the quiet pool by us was very big and very quiet.
