Value Resort & Free Dining Upgrade?

During the Free Dining promotion I understand that if you book a value resort the free dining is for CS only.

Is it possible to upgrade to the DDP, pay the difference and stay in a value resort? Anybody know if they let you do that and what would be the price difference...about $30 per adult per day or ?

Yes you can upgrade to the regular or delxue dining plan. Formy stay at the All Star Music I upgraded to the regular dining plan, but I am embarassed to say I can't remember how much the upgrade was. I'm thinkiing it was between $30 and $50 a person.

Thank you I was hoping that was the case! I had read the people upgrade to deluxe dining plan fron DDP when they get free dining and stay at a moderate or deluxe resort.

I just hadn't heard or read if the same kind of thing could be done with the values. We want to stay at the Pop but don't want to do the CS plan.

We upgraded ours and are staying at POP. I believe that it was an additional $10 per night per person (adults)

The price difference during regular (non holiday surcharge) is

$10 per adult per night, $2 per child per night.

To go from DDP to DxDP:
$30 per adult per night, $9 per child per night.


If you have 4 Disney adults (chilren 10+ included), it may work out to be close to the cost of staying at a moderate resort and getting the DDP.

We upgraded. Staying at POP for for 8 nights, 2A & 2C, upgrade cost $192.00.

I'm in the minority and didn't upgrade we have done the regular plan so many timse. We are sticking with the QSDP. But she did tell me on the phone it was 10.00 a day.

We are the same as you, Kelly. I actually want the QSDP over the DDP. Excited to try it! We normally do DxDP so I'm really looking forward to being more flexible with our schedule this time.
