If not, take the standard view. Building for Standard View really doesn't matter, although I prefer the bath layout in the Jambo House studios. There is only one sq foot size difference between the Jambo House & Kidani Village Standard (and Savanna) View Studios.

The Value Studios are only in Jambo House and are smaller than the other JH Studios.

JH Value Studio: 316 sq ft
JH Std/Sav View Studio: 365 sq ft
KV Std/Sav View Studio: 366 sq ft

In maybe 15 Value studio bookings, I only got parking lot view once, and perhaps that was because I also had the Savannah view value studio that was across from it. They kept my party close!

I would go with the value studio. I like the layout ( as opposed to Kidani's studios) and I think the location of the values convenient.

Layout of the Jambo studios is much better than Kidani studios….if your party is small and you can still bank the unused points AND if value is available I would go with value.

Not all Jambo House Standard Views are of the Uzima Pool. There were a number of Savanna View rooms that were reclassified as Standard View due to their poor views.

In three value room studio stays we never got a savanna view and did get the parking lot view. Even the pool views we were assigned were blocked by the trees--all we had was the noise from the pool. I preferred the parking lot room it was quieter and I could leave the door open to enjoy the cooler November weather. BTW, I think since you are staying one night you might have a better chance for the savanna view.

for a couple, i would vote for value.

if you have a kid or 2, i would vote for the extra room in the standard view studio.

My standard view at Kidani was over bell services and then the employee parking/street, standard at Jambo has always been pool view. We usually stay in value studios and I cannot remember having parking lot view with that one--only savanna and pool. We got lucky. I have two value studios in May and I can't wait to see what we get. The values are closer to the front of Jambo and/or lobby I believe so a nice location.

If it's available, I'd vote value-DVC's best value, IMO. However, lots of people realize that, so if you can't get it, standard-and I much prefer Jambo over Kidani.

When we book Standard view it's at Jambo but for the life of me we can't get a pool view assignment although that's a good part why I keep booking it there! It's been the reclassified savannah view every time.

Aww, gee! I admit that I hope I have your "problem" next time I book a standard view. I got reclassified savannah view once, and I liked it better than the savannah view I'd booked just a few months beforehand.

I know - pretty rough, eh? DH loves the pool though so being close is the goal. However, we do love the animals too. I just find it funny that I put in for a pool view and never have gotten it but then AKV is the one resort we've never gotten a request for whatever reason. Always enjoyed the stays though!

He likes the idea of having the restaurants close by. Me I like the idea of parking being closes..

Nope. There are five two-bedroom lockoff Club Level rooms. There are ten two-bedroom lockoff Value rooms and four dedicated studio Value rooms.
