My stepson has a set of 1994 Churches Chicken show stopper collection pinnacle cards (10 cards) mint condition. He's curious to know the value of the cards. Does anyone know how I can find out?

www.beckett.com

Or you can look in a local magazine shop for Beckett or Tuff Stuff magazines. They should get you going in the right direction.

You could also call a local card shop.

I'm at work right now, but when I get home tonight, I'll look and see if I can find the value as well.

Yes, beckett's probably. I used to collect in about 1994 myself. The "REAL DEAL" is that they are worth what someone will pay you for them. I have a near mint Cal Ripken rookie card. In PA I have yet to be offered more than $20 for the card and I paid $30 for it many years ago.

In real life, you are very licky to get half of "book" value unless it is an exxtremely rare and desireable card.

I don't even know the set you are mentioning, but I bet the real value is less than $20. Sad, but true.

Good luck with it.

OK, I just looked it up. The most expensive SINGLE card is selling for $10. Most are in the $3 - $5 range. That is what a DEALER sells them for. Privately, they might sell for 30% - 60% of that. Heck, one of them is selling for a nickle. :)

Like I said... less than $20 on the open market.

It looks like you would have to sign up on that site to use it. Are there any "free" sites that will give you an estimated value? I have almost all of the 1982 & 1983 Milwaukee Brewers cards (when they were in the World Series I think..) that were given out by the Milwaukee Police Dept I have Rollie Fingers, Cecil Cooper lots more including the team cards... I was 6 or 7 at the time, I don't know why I hung on to them. I'm glad I did though because DS7 has them now. Is there anyway you can check them for me? Or direct me to a free site? I suppose I could also go to a local shop (they'd probably have more local value anyhow I suppose)

TIA
Jaimee

Thanks for all your help guys. I know Joey will be disappointed to hear they aren't worth much. The real value in the cards is that he and his dad searched for and bought them together. I'm sure some real quality time was spend together while they searched.

You are right the real value is the time spent together collecting. I know that's what my DH thinks about the 10,000+ cards he has that we can't give away. I'd LOVE a couple hundred bucks for them but I don't even think we could sell them for $100. I'm sure he's got some $10-20 cards in there too but we are too lazy to sort through them and see what is there.
