We'll be at wdw next week staying at POR. We have a couple ps for dinner at Boardwalk and Contemporary resorts. I know you're allowed to park in the resort lots for 3 hours if you're eating there. Is valet parking different? Can we stay more than 3 hours if we valet park? We were thinking we might eat and then go to the park for Illum. or parade. Is this allowed? ALso, as a resort guest, are you permitted to valet park without dinner reservations at another resort?

Thanks,
Corina

There is no time limit on parking with the valet. However, most resorts near the parks have a large sign stating that parking to enter the parks is not allowed.

If you want to see Illuminations after you eat, why not just park in the EPCOT lot? It's not a bad walk through EPCOT to get to the Boardwalk and after Illuminations, you can just go back to the lot to get your car. No worries about time limits or whether or not parking is allowed. The hotel guests of the BWI & BWV will thank you for your consideration - it's often impossible to find a place to park your car in the Boardwalk lot in the late afternoons and early evenings because so many people park there and go to the parks. Lately, the CMs in the security kiosk hae been directing non-BW hotel guests to a lot across the street for parking. That's quite a hike and there is a busy street to cross to get to the Boardwalk.

As far as the Contemporary, the same thinking applies. Park in the TTC and take the resort monorail to the Contemporary. It's actually kind of fun to arrive inside the Resort for your dinner. After dinner you can walk over to the MK for the parade and then afterwards, just return to the TTC and pick up your car.

Best wishes -

You can valet park all day if you would like. Remember, you need to pay for Valet parking even if you are staying on property.
