Valet Parking

Having dinner at the Grand Floridian and have a question about valet parking. When and where do you pay? I generally tip when I get my car back but when do you pay the fee, and can it be charged to your room? We are staying at POFQ.

You pay the fee when you pickup your car.
Don't know about room charge.

Sorry, no it can not be charged to the room which is really annoying. I guess now that valet is not actually Disney, is the reason. Valet is outsourced to Mears.

Is this new? We valeted at the Poly in March, and I swear they charged it to our room.

It can be charged to your room if you are staying at that resort, but not if you valet at a different resort. It looks like you were staying at the Poly in March which is why it was charged to your room.

Valet is outsourced to Mears.

Valet is outsourced, but not to Mears. It's another company whose name escapes me. (I know this because the valet parkers got into an accident with my rental car when I was there in April 2011, so I had to work with the valet company corporate office and the rental car company to make sure I did not have to pay the repair costs.)
