Ok, I have a question about valet parking at the resorts.

Let's say I'm staying at the WL, I check in, they valet park my car then later for dinner I decide to go to the POLY for dinner and we drive over and valet park there...would I be charged twice??

How does that work? I guess when you valet at the resort you're staying in they put the $6 charge on your room, so if I go to another resort and valet park what happens then??

No second $6 charge. Valet will either put in or give you a color coded tag to hang on the mirror of the car that says you've already been charged. All you'll need is tip for those who get you your car.

We really like the valet service (we stayed at AK) and gladly paid $6 per day for them to run out in the heat (it was 95 plus the whole week we were there) and start the ac and roll down the windows! Never had to wait - we called from our room right before we needed it to be ready.

When you pick up your car to go to the Poly, ask the valet for the "receipt or tag" that shows you have already paid for the day. The valets do not automatically give yo one.

Enjoy your trip!

Things must have changed since the last time we were there. Back in Sept when we picked our car up at the AKL there would be a colored tag hanging from the rearview mirror. Everyday a different color.

Do they not do this anymore?

I don't remember getting a colored tag at BWV when we used the valet service there last November or last Februrary. Maybe the DVC resorts have different procedures since DVC members do not pay for valet parking at the DVC resorts. They do pay at the other deluxe resorts, though. It makes sense to me that you would automatically get the tag at the AKL, since everyone (except those with a valid handicapped permit) pays the $6 valet fee there.
