Valet Parking ?

I have a question about valet parking. When do do tip the valet? Do you tip them when they pick up your car and when you pick the car up from the valet. Do you tip either at the beginning or the end. And how much do you tip? Also if you valet park and go to another resort do they give you a 3 hour parking pass. Or if you valet park can you park at another resort for the whole day. What do people think about valet parking, is it worth $6 a day. BTW I am at AKL, is the self-park lot far from the door.

I tip the valet on drop off an dpick up. Anywhere from $1-5. depending if luggae and all of that is involved.

I think I havie it right? If you pay the $6 at any resort on one day, that dsame day you don;t have to pay if you change resorts and valet.

I always valet, can't be bothered with self parking. Snob - no, lazy - yes!

When we were there in January we stayed at the YC and used Valet Parking. When we went to the GF for the Wonderland Tea Party we were given a 3 hour parking pass even though we used the valet there as well. Don't know if they are still doing it now that they charge but I assume they are since they don't want people filling the lots and going to the parks from there.

I was wondering this same thing myself, although for the home end of our journey. We are leaving our car at a valet parking service near O'Hare. Hubby thought we should just tip when we return, but I thought we should when we leave too, or else tip the shuttle driver if he assists with our luggage. Anyone have a suggestion on an appropriate amount?
