Valet parking with handcapped sticker

I read somewhere that if you have a handcapped sticker you don't have to pay for valet parking at the resorts. Does anyone know if this is true?

We used Valet Parking at the YC in Nov 06. I called the YC before we left home to find out about the cost. DS uses a wheelchair and has a handicap plackard. We never asked about the plackard. When we tried to pay the valet, he would not accept our money. I don't know if this is the case all over The World, but it was free at that place and time.

That is true, although the valets still accept tips.

Some people think it is a 'perk' for being handicapped, but it actually is because much of the parking at the resorts is too far away to meet the guidelines/requirements for handicapped parking. In order to avoid having the entry areas to the resorts full of handicapped parking spaces, resorts offer free handicapped valet parking as an alternative. That is not just for WDW, most large hotels do the same thing.
