Valet parking question

Is valet parking free to DVC members at all DVC resorts, or is it just select ones? If so, which ones? For example, could we valet it at Bay Lake and eat in the Contemporary, without having to pay (except for tipping when we drop off and pick up the car of course)? Could we do the same at AKV is we decide to explore a little over there? I know that at both of those resorts, pool hopping is not allowed, so I was also wondering about the valet parking.

Yes, valet is free to members at DVC resorts that offer valet parking. So yes, you can valet at AKV or Contemporary (only after BLT opens), but you can't valet for free at the Grand Floridian. And SSR and OKW don't offer valet parking.

(I don't know that the valet perk at BLT/Contemporary has been officially confirmed, but I can't imagine that it won't be offered.)

By the time your trip rolls around next summer, they could do away with the member valet parking perk. That would be a bummer, wouldn't it? As membership grows, I could see some of these perks disappearing.

There is a serious question as to whether free valet parking for DVC members at a DVC resort is just a "perk." They charge for valet to regular guests to offset the costs of valet parking and probably make a little profit. In the case of DVC members, you are already paying for the costs of valet service including the employees through your dues and thus to charge you for the service would effectively be charging you twice.
