Valet parking at monorail resorts for non-resort guests?

Okay -- we all know the rules for parking at resorts not your own just to use the transporation... but does anyone know the *official* WDW rule on using valet parking? Is that only for guests of that resort (and diners...) too or can anyone valet park at any resort? I'm thinking that maybe that's okay since the valet lots are usually out of the way from the rest of the parking, but not sure.

Not trying to start a controversy... just curious what the actual word from WDW is. Thanks!

You pays yo six bucks at the valet parkin' or at the parkin' lot. And you add a tip when you valet park.

I imagine that since it costs the same to park at either location, you can valet park at the resort. Don't know Disney's official take on it, though.

I had a conversation with a valet attendent about this last January. The official take is that even if you use valet, you should NOT park at a resort (CR, GF, BC, BW, etc.) all day while you are at a park, unless of course it's the resort you are staying at.

That said, they won't tow you or do anything about it, and if you've paid for valet parking, they can't really say anything. We stayed at the GF, and went to the BW for breakfast at Spoodles. The valets definitely told us that we were not supposed to park there for the entire day while we were in Epcot. We had breakfast and then walked over to Epcot to purchase an item we had forgotten the day before. We were back for our car in under two hours. I don't know what they would have said had we left it there all day and night...

Just my opinion, but I would not think they care too much about it because they are getting $6 that they would not have made otherwise.

On a side note, on three different occations we have valet parked for short periods (30 mins -1 hour) and they did not charge us anything. We did not get the hang tag to use the rest of the day either, so we only got free at that resort. It was the Poly twice and WL once. Were we just lucky or is there some policy not to charge if it is under a certain amount of time? I also wondered if they were just trying to get a bigger tip.

What do you guys think of this?

When we go in November we really want to do the WS. We haven't really gotten to take our time and go through it. The food and wine festival should be going on.

We want to eat a late breakfast at Cape May and walk over to the WS. We probably will only stay a few hours (not for parade), as we are just interested in the f&w fest and looking in the shops.

If I pay $6 to valet (plus a tip), should I just leave my car there or go back and go around to the Epcot entrance. Wouldn't this be a waste of time?I don't feel like I'm just using their parking lot , since I am eating a (not cheap) meal there.

Do they rent strollers at the International Gateway entrance???
That would make a difference.
