We will be staying on my parents points in September. I am not a DVC member. If we use valet parking are we charged for that?

You may need the blue member card to get free valet parking. Get that from your parents to show if you need to. Remember to tip if you decide to use valet parking.

Mixed reviews on that thread but good info, I think.

Can I park my car in the front while I am checking in and then go back for the car when I am done? Also will they hold my luggage while I do that?

I am not big on valets and bellman. Only because these are tasks I have always done myself, and I feel weird having some one do something for me that I can do myself.

Leaving the car at the front while you check in... We've usually had to have someone stay with the car while the other checked in.

No, when you check in they will give you piece of paper which you will place on your front dash that states DVC Member and the term of your stay at the resort. The valet will see this and not charge you to park, but it is always nice to tip them!

The newest dash board parking slips don't have DVC member on them anymore.

Even before valet was outsourced, we had guests staying on points who did get charged for valet parking at BWV. When we approached the desk with OUR DVC card, the charge was removed. So, I think as guests of your parents you should be able to get free valet parking. Just be sure to check your bill.
