Hi again! I have been reading everyone's posts and they are very helpful! I am getting some great ideas and great tips! We are not planning a wedding until 2006, but we are looking into things now. We want to get married on Valentines day becasue that is when we met. I am hearing that may be more expensive, does anyone know how much. Also, does anyone know how they give perference if more then one couple wants to be married at the same time? I know you have to call a year in advance, but I am worried that because we want a smaller wedding, we might get the shaft?! Any thoughts?

Lastly, how did y'all get the counters on your posts? I would love that?

congradulation!!!
i was also thinking about getting married on valentine's day, it will be so romantic... but then we think that if so, we will have one day less to celebrate ...
so we change to 12/23 since i like chrismtas

sorry i do not have ans to your question, but i think it is certainly a lovely idea to get married on 2/14

Below is the new "holiday" pricing guidelines.

As to your second question, all weddings for the same time/location that are requested on the same day, must go thru a lottery. For example. Jane and Kim call on the same day (one year out) and request a 5 PM ceremony at the WP on 12 Jan. There is a lottery to determine who "wins" the slot. Your SM can give you more info when you speak to them about time and location info, but I hope you got the idea.

Also to note, is that once you are penciled in, no one can get your slot, for eample...You call tomorrow and ask for the WP on 12 Jan at 5 PM and your SM tells you you have it, that's it...It's yours!

Kismetdreams,
Are these prices for intimate weddings as well, or just customs?
Becky noted that she was having a small wedding. She may be able to have a intimate wedding and not have to worry about meeting the minimum expenditures.

*Becky: Just keep in mind that with an intimate wedding you are limited to the amount of people that you can invite to the actual ceremony.

Disney has special rules about intimates on holidays and weekends. My understanding is that they can still happen, but only at the outdoor sites.

Also, you can't have more then 13 adults (over the age of 9) at an intimate wedding.

i'm also a future bride of a february 2006 wedding, our anniversary is actually in july (weathers to hot for a disney wedding outdoors) so we choose february for the romance factor of valentine's day, we choose the 21st to keep our original date, but without the holiday wedding price tag. good luck in all your plans & to all other future brides! :) tj
