Valentine's Day ....

Hello....seeing the Valentine's day hours posted today for DLP and close time is Midnight.

Seems late to me based on the prior weeks to have a random Thursday night open so late -- or is there something 'special' happening that night since it is Valentine's Day?

Any insights? TIA..

Ah, yes. I thought she was asking about the random Thursday night and not the actual Valentine's day. My mistake.

I think a lot of locals visit DLR on Valentine's Day. The restaurants in DTD usually offer a special menu. (The AMC used to show special movies. One year it was "Gone With the Wind.") It makes sense to me that DL would be open late that night. We usually visit the parks to end our date night on Valentine's Day. Many of our friends do the same or spend the whole day in the parks if the schedule allows. This year, DLR will have a Valentine's Month Celebration (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/ev...on-90th-celebration/#/drawer=valentines-month) running from Jan. 22nd - Feb. 18th. Also, this year Valentine's Day is right before a 3 day weekend, so maybe people will be starting their holiday weekend early by hitting the parks on the Thursday evening/night.

Aaahh ok.... I would totally end up at the park too if I were local. I keep forgetting about that huge component for DLP.

Now planning on an afternoon break so we can stay later. I think the parks take on a whole new dimension at night..first trip to DLR and getting excited to see it all.
