Anybody have exciting plans?

My husband is working all Valentine's Day. He'll come home tired & grumpy from a long work week. :) Oh, well.

I was thinking of doing something nice for him. Not sure what, though.

I let my husband go to the motorcycle rally he desperately wanted to go to so I am all alone. Its my present to myself! I love him but a couple days alone will be refreshing.

We are having valentines day tonight. Saturday we will be with my family and not exactly a "romantic" time.

I'm baking a heart shaped red velvet cake. My husband is making his "famous" spaghetti(he only makes it on v-day when he is home because he made that our very first v-day). We'll exchange cards and even light up some candles on the table.

Nothing says romance like spaghetti and cake.:rotfl:

We are going to brunch in the morning and then the local home show, haha romantic right? Our anniversary is the first week of March, so we always tend to kind of skip over V-day and spend more on our anniversary. I might do a card and small gift, haven't really decided yet!

I think my DH is working on Saturday, too. I bought him a small gift and something small for the kids. It isn't a big deal in our house.

We don't normally do much for Valentine's Day, either. In fact I've never given my husband anything for Vanlentine's Day, and he hasn't given me anything for years.

I thought maybe it was time to switch things up a bit.

taxes,,,how's THAT for romantic? then re-doing the budget yet again, to try and save any last penny. I will bake some brownies for DS and DH...then visit DH father who is in very poor health , call my folks who are also in poor health, and then probably read the paper about the economy and country which are ALSO in poor health. I will hope that my DD's BF at college actually acknowledges her and suggests going on a walk, do homework together anything that shows he realizes how awesome she is. Iam painting a small plaque with in inside saying for DS, That will be a fairly full day and then onto Feb 15th.
We used ot go to the Auto show in years past, no way can we do that now or in the future.

Going to Tysons Corner to some shopping, Jared, then on to the Capital Grille for dinner. After that, head home and "snuggle" by the fire.
